The company
Aureclar is the AI-powered board intelligence platform. Board portals distribute documents; Aureclar prepares directors, so secretaries stop hand-holding and boards arrive ready to decide. We replace the board portal, and we help directors prepare for meetings, surface the questions that matter before they arise, and track decisions and actions across the year. We sell into trade associations and chambers, universities, hospitals and major nonprofits, small and mid-cap public companies, and large family- and PE-owned private companies. Our champion is usually the board secretary or corporate secretary, and the buying committee runs through general counsel, the board chair, and IT security.
The role
This is a high-ownership, quota-carrying role for someone who wants to own real revenue, not a slice of a machine. You will work closely with the CEO and run the full cycle: prospect, discover, demo, navigate a multi-stakeholder buying process, and close. You’ll help shape how we sell as we scale. This role is for a seller who thrives with autonomy and wants their fingerprints on the growth, not one who needs a fully built playbook handed to them. This posting is based in the Atlanta metro, a hub of corporate headquarters, private and family-owned companies, and Southeast boards.
What you’ll own
- A new-business number you can recite from memory, and a pipeline you can defend line by line.
- The full cycle from first touch to signed contract, including the security review, redlines, and procurement steps that quietly kill governance deals.
- A repeatable account plan for our core segments, including how to reach the secretary, engage the economic buyer, and clear IT security.
- Clean, current CRM hygiene in HubSpot so the pipeline is trustworthy, and a next action on every warm relationship so nothing goes cold.
- Feedback into product and messaging based on what you hear in the room, not what we wish were true.
How we’ll evaluate you (and what the job actually rewards)
We hire against five qualities. They also describe how you’ll be measured once you’re here.
1. Customer focus
You can explain Aureclar the way a board secretary experiences their week, not as a feature list. You lead with the governance pain (the hand-holding, the last-minute scramble, the director who shows up unprepared) and connect it to what the product does. You adjust the pitch for a corporate secretary versus a board chair versus a head of IT, because they care about different things.
2. Structure
You run a deliberate process, not a vibe. You have a point of view on what a good first meeting looks like versus a good second meeting, you identify the economic buyer and the paper process early, and you can name the specific thing that tends to kill deals late and how you flush it out up front.
3. Accountability
You know your number and your attainment for the last few years, cold, and you can name the one or two things that actually drove your results. When you miss, you say why and what you changed, without blaming the territory or the market.
4. Problem-solving
You can wrestle a gnarly, multi-stakeholder deal to the ground with creativity and persistence. You talk about the customer’s world (their board dynamics, their fears, their internal politics), not just your own activity, and you can walk through the specific moves that got a hard deal over the line.
5. Drive
You know exactly what you need to get better at and you’re already working on it. You seek feedback, act on it, and can talk in detail about how a specific weakness has shown up in real deals.
You’re probably a fit if
- You’ve carried a B2B quota and consistently hit or beaten it in good markets and bad, and you can prove it with numbers.
- You’ve sold a considered, multi-stakeholder purchase with a real security or procurement gate, ideally into legal, governance, finance, or the executive suite.
- You’re comfortable with autonomy: you can source and drive your own pipeline and don’t need a big brand to hide behind.
- You can make senior people (directors, GCs, C-suite) trust you quickly, and you’re substantive enough to hold the room on governance, not just charming.
- You write and speak plainly. You’d rather say the useful thing than the impressive thing.
Nice to have
- Exposure to governance, corporate secretarial work, board software, GRC, legaltech, or fintech sold into boards.
- A network in associations, higher ed, healthcare, or the private-company / PE world.
- Experience selling at an early-stage or high-growth company where you helped build the motion.
How we hire
We hire on evidence, not polish. The best way to prepare is to know your own track record cold and be ready to talk about your work in specifics, including what hasn’t gone well and what you learned from it. If you can show us how you’ve actually done this before, you’ll do well here.
Compensation
Competitive base plus uncapped commission, meaningful equity, and a real seat in a category we believe is being created right now. Specifics depend on experience and are discussed early so we’re not wasting each other’s time.
To apply: email hiring@aureclar.co with your number and attainment for the last two years, and one deal you’re proud of closing.
